North Carolina Medicaid, through one door
NC Medicaid · run by the Division of Health Benefits, NC Department of Health and Human Services.
The Division of Health Benefits — NC Medicaid — runs the program inside the Department of Health and Human Services. Most members are in managed care: four statewide Standard Plans, regional Behavioral Health I/DD Tailored Plans, one Children and Families Specialty Plan (from December 1, 2025), and a Tribal Option; the rest sit in NC Medicaid Direct, the fee-for-service remainder. Counties decide eligibility through NC FAST; claims run through NCTracks. The Section 1115 demonstration is renewed through December 9, 2029.
This page is the streamlined way in: the state’s own front doors, laid out in one place, each a straight link to the official page it names. It is one of 51 such interfaces, one per state and the District of Columbia, each built from that state’s Knowledge Base. The page is built to collect nothing — no forms, no accounts, no trackers — and every click hands you to the state’s own site.

What this state’s Knowledge Base does not hold, stated plainly. A door with nothing behind it is not linked to air; the gap is printed instead.
- Executed base contracts for the Standard Plan, Tailored Plan, and Medicaid Direct PIHP families — amendment series and model language only.
- The full clinical coverage policy set — the library door and samples are here, not the whole set.
- A current external quality review technical report.
- The Ombudsman annual report, the Enrollment Broker contract, and the NEMT broker contract.
- A current third-party liability / estate recovery policy document, and a DSH audit document.
- A Money Follows the Person program page.

The state’s Knowledge Base record, class by class — every located source behind the doors above, with its address exactly as the record carries it. Records the front doors already use are not repeated here.
